Free Rashan Program
Under the Free Rashan Program 2025, the Government of Pakistan has taken a major initiative to provide basic necessities to poor families during Ramadan. Under this program, three bags of flour will be provided free of cost, and subsidies will also be given on other essential items that can be obtained through utility stores. The aim of this program is to help families who are facing financial difficulties and have difficulty purchasing essential items.
The registration process for the Free Ration Program has been made very easy. The government has started the registration process for this program through the code 8123. In addition, an online ration portal has also been introduced, through which you can complete your registration from home. In addition, those people whose monthly income is less than Rs. 60,000 can also become a part of this program, even if they are not previously involved in any other government program.

Once the registration is complete, you can get a Free Rashan from your nearest utility store. Through this program, the government has provided a simple and accessible way to help poor families, so that every needy individual can benefit from it.

How to Register for the Free Rashan Program?
To make the registration process simple and accessible for everyone, the government has introduced a special code 8123 for the Free Rashan Program. With this code, people can check their eligibility and register from the comfort of their homes, especially useful for those who are less literate or have limited access to technology.
Registering via Code 8123:
If you want to register for the Free Rashan Program, follow these simple steps:
- Open the messaging app on your mobile phone.
- Type your National Identity Card (CNIC) number (without any dashes) in the message box.
- Send the message to 8123.
- Wait for a few moments to receive a confirmation message from 8123.
- The message will contain details about your eligibility and the next steps in the registration process.
This registration method is simple and quick, ensuring that even people with limited resources can sign up for the program easily.
Registering Online via the Rashan Portal:
For people who don’t have nearby Utility Stores or are unable to use the SMS code, the government has also introduced an online registration system through the Ehsaas Rashan Portal. Here’s how you can register through the portal:
- Visit the Ehsaas Rashan Portal on your computer or mobile device.
- A registration form will appear asking for basic details such as your name, father’s name, CNIC number, mobile number, home address, and utility bills (electricity or gas bill).
- Fill in all the required fields accurately.
- Submit the form for verification.
- Once your details are verified, you will receive a confirmation message about your eligibility and registration.
For individuals whose records do not exist in the system, it is advised to visit the nearest Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) office to get themselves registered. This will ensure that they are included in the Free Rashan Program and can benefit from it.

Who Is Eligible for Free Rashan?
The good news is that this program is not limited to those already enrolled in other government programs like Ehsaas or BISP. The Free Rashan Program is open to all low-income families whose monthly income is less than Rs. 60,000. Even if you were previously ineligible under other schemes, you can now register for this program and avail of the benefits.
During the launch of the Negahban Program, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz confirmed that those who were incorrectly excluded from other programs due to incomplete BISP data can now be re-registered to benefit from the Free Rashan Program. This means that even if someone was deemed ineligible for the Ehsaas or BISP programs, they may now qualify for the Free Rashan Program based on their monthly income.
How to Collect Free Rashan?
Once you’ve registered and confirmed your eligibility, you can collect the free ration from your nearest Utility Store. Simply take your National Identity Card (CNIC) to the store, and you will be given three bags of flour along with other discounted basic food items.
The government has ensured that the process is straightforward, and people can easily avail of the benefits of the Free Rashan Program during Ramadan. The Utility Stores will be providing these items at special rates, ensuring that eligible families don’t miss out on their entitlements.
Conclusion
The Free Rashan Program 2025 is a significant step towards supporting Pakistan’s low-income families. With the distribution of free flour and discounted food items, the government aims to ease the financial burden on families, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. By introducing a simple registration process through SMS code 8123 and an online portal, the program ensures that even those with limited access to resources can participate.
